Blocked Line Management
If you order a blocked line, you are now able to access a list of suppliers who submitted an above tariff price. To access the list simply click the name of the product which will now appear as a blue button.
A list will then show you each supplier that is currently over tariff with the ‘% over’ details for each. Suppliers are ranked from cheapest at the top to most expensive at the bottom.
From here you can then place orders direct to suppliers for blocked lines. Once you have clicked the name of the product (blue button), simply enter the quantity of the product you would like to order and click the green ‘Send Order’ button, this will immediately dispatch your order to the supplier.
You can opt to wait for the order to complete (this can take several minutes depending on the supplier) or close the window and check your order history section of the PharmAssist portal for confirmation.
The Blocked Line Management function is designed to put you in control by allowing you to make informed purchasing decisions on above tariff lines that have been automatically blocked from your main PharmAssist ordering cascade.
Concession Toggle
You are now able to switch between including and excluding concession prices in the calculations for the Drug Tariff Review system.
- Include Concessions - updates the Drug Tariff price with the current concession price when calculating if a product is over the Drug Tariff price. Products which are under the current concession price WILL NOT be blocked or included in warning emails.
- Exclude Concessions - only uses the current month's Drug Tariff price for calculations. Products which are under the current concession price WILL BE blocked or included in warning emails if they are still over the Drug Tariff price.
What is the Drug Tariff Review feature?
The Drug Tariff Review feature advises you of any generic products that are above the current Drug Tariff price via the PharmAssist website.
You can choose to:
- Warn - will display a warning within PharmAssist.
- Block - will remove the product from your cascade so you won’t be able to order it through PharmAssist.
Settings can be applied for the entire list or you can manually change the settings for individual products.
If email notifications are enabled, you will receive an email when:
- a line is marked as ‘warn’ and the stock will be supplied from an over Drug Tariff supplier.
- a line is marked as ‘block’ and stock wasn’t available from any supplier under Drug Tariff price.
